Welcome to Grafton Elementary School's Special Education home page!
At Grafton Elementary, a variety of Special Education supports are available. Referrals to Special Education are usually made by the Educational Support Team, which consists of core teachers, the nurse, guidance counselor and principal. Once a referral is received, Ms. Martin will contact the parent to set up an Evaluation Planning Team meeting. If an evaluation is performed and a student is found to be eligible for Special Education, an Individual Education Plan is designed to meet the student's needs.
Based on the Individual Education Plan, a student may receive classroom support, accommodations, Resource Room support, and/or related services such as Speech/Language Therapy or Occupational Therapy.
