Activities develop physical competencies as well as adaptability, ingenuity, personal pride and problem solving. Through movement children learn how to act, interact and react to the world around them. Bodily and spatial awareness, basic knowledge of the body and how it works, the importance of physical activity and healthful habits and attitudes, and participation in a variety of recreational and athletic activities are invaluable life skills. |
